91´óÉñ Nursing Granted Accreditation from CCNE
91´óÉñ has received accreditation for its baccalaureate degree program in nursing for 10 years through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The CCNE Board of Commissioners determined that 91´óÉñ’s program met all four accreditation standards.
91´óÉñ is one of only two publicly funded nursing programs in Montana to offer a pre-licensure bachelor of science in nursing (BSN). The 2018 graduating class, which was the first graduating class from 91´óÉñ’s bachelor of science in nursing program, received a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam and had a 100%-percent placement rate.
“Over the past few years, the nursing program at 91´óÉñ has been on an amazing upward trajectory,” noted 91´óÉñ Chancellor Don Blackketter. “We have a top quality program with exceptional faculty, staff, and leadership.”
“Being accredited by a nationally recognized organization means 91´óÉñ Nursing meets specific high standards and provides quality baccalaureate nursing education,” explained Karen VanDaveer, Director of Nursing at 91´óÉñ. “91´óÉñ nursing graduates have the knowledge to practice at the bachelor level in their nursing career and the foundation to continue on to further education. The 91´óÉñ nursing graduate will help meet the healthcare needs of the citizens of Montana and beyond.”
“It is wonderful to receive an accreditation of 10 years from CCNE,” said Doug Abbott, Provost at 91´óÉñ. “The 10-year accreditation is a testament to the high quality of 91´óÉñ’s Nursing faculty and students. I hope a 91´óÉñ Nursing graduate will care for me one day as I know I would be in good hands.”
CCNE is a national, autonomous accrediting agency that ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate and residency programs in nursing.
